Michael E. Loreti, MD is a highly experienced sports medicine specialist, now seeing patients at IGEA. Dr. Loreti brings decades of expertise in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, with a strong focus on helping patients return to full mobility, activity, and quality of life.
A Bergen County native, Dr. Loreti has proudly served as the school physician for St. Mary’s High School in Rutherford for more than 22 years. His long-standing commitment to the school community earned him induction into the St. Mary’s Athletic Hall of Fame, and he remains a familiar presence at their athletic events and fundraisers.
Dr. Loreti’s background as an All-American high school athlete led him to Seton Hall University on a football scholarship before completing his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine. In addition to caring for student athletes, he serves as a medical consultant for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, where he has provided coverage for major collegiate and professional sporting events, including Super Bowl XLVIII, NFL championships, Stanley Cup finals, NBA championships, and the NCAA Final Four.
Dr. Loreti is dedicated to a conservative, patient-centered approach, prioritizing mobility, function, and active participation in daily life and sports.
