Glorimar Weaver is a physician assistant at IGEA Brain & Spine, P.A. and specializes in surgical assessment, procedures and the management of post-operative care.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health from New Jersey City University, Glorimar attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) from which she received her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in May of 2010.
As a student at UMDNJ, Glorimar volunteered at Trinity Clinic and St. John’s Clinic, Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen and Open Arms Ministry and College Ministry at Evangel Church and participated in numerous clinical rotations including medicine, outpatient medicine, pediatrics, surgery, OB/GYN, ICU, ER and infectious diseases.
Glorimar received her physician assistant license in August 2010 from the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners and that same year became a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants.
Prior to working at IGEA Brain & Spine, Glorimar worked per diem as a Vascular Technologist at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. She has also led several presentations on disseminated histoplasmosis, colovesicular fistula and anemia.
She is fluent in Spanish and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
