On September 14, 2017, Dr. Ciro Randazzo, Director of the Comprehensive and Primary Stroke Center at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, led a discussion during the St. Joseph’s Healthcare System Stroke Symposium, A Multidisciplinary Approach. The event, during which Dr. Randazzo presented information about comprehensive stroke intervention, was focused on multiple aspects of treatment of patients afflicted by stroke. Experts in a number of fields, including critical care, neurology, neurosurgery and emergency medicine, were in attendance.
The objectives of the Symposium were to review transport, treatment and rehabilitation guidelines, patient care in an emergency setting and critical care management. Additional
